Overview

Chulu Far East Peak Climbing with Thorong La Pass begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu up to Chame and goes up along the Marshyangdi valley. And pass through the famous and highest pass, Throng-La pass (5,416M) before descending to the Kali Gandaki valley to reach Pokhara. In most parts of this trek, you will be accommodated in lodges/hotels but since it is not possible on the high camps and base camps, there will be several tent-camp accommodations as well.

Since the trek takes place high over the Manang Valley, the inhabitants including the indigenous Gurungs will lure you with their warm-welcoming and their culture. They are mostly alike Tibetan, however, all they got their own unique ethnicity and traditional practices. Nevertheless, the route also includes Muktinath which is a famous pilgrimage site for both the Hindus and Buddhists.

Fitness Required and Best Season

This expedition plus trekking package is classified under Trekking Peak category B by Nepal Mountaineering Association. This means, it is technically less demanding and all you need to be familiar with is – using equipment like- crampons, ice ax, harness, tying knots, and managing climbing ropes. So, if you are physically fit and have a basic understanding of using climbing gear, you can proceed to achieve success on Chulu Far East Peak Climbing with Thorong La Pass. And for the best experience of such a wonderful combo, the best time to go for would be months of Sep-Oct-Nov and Mar-Apr-May.
