Our Journey
The trek is initiated after a scenic drive up to the traditional village, Syabrubesi. Syabrubesi is the gateway to any treks to the Langtang Region of Nepal. It is a village inhabited by various ethnic groups like Tamang, Sherpa, and Gurung; mostly influenced by the Tibetan lifestyle and culture. Then onwards, walking thru bushes and alongside the river, enjoying the picturesque sceneries of the cascading hills, snow-clad peaks, and the blooming of Rhododendron forest as well as several other species of vegetations, we will crawl our way to Kyanjing Gompa which is the last settlement along the trail and our ultimate destination.
Langtang National Park
Meanwhile, we will be blessed to take a closer look at the protected herbs, vegetation, and wildlife and birds in the Langtang National Park. The national park was a restricted area prior to the 19th due to the security threats from the bordering countries. And to enhance the preservation of endangered species, it is a protected area that is allowed to visit only with a special permit from the Government of Nepal.
Lifestyle and Culture
Besides, the remote and rural lowland settlements and the authentic lifestyle of the locals are the major attractions of this trek. Ancient and historical monasteries, prayer flags, and other Buddhist cultures representing arts and monuments will rejoice you during the tiring uphill and downhill climbs. In a short duration of time, you can explore all these and reach the highlands.
Eligibility and Best-time for Langtang Valley Trek
The Langtang Valley Trek can be embarked upon by anyone of any age and profession. With a moderate difficulty trail, it can be favourable for people without previous trekking experience as well. Nevertheless, it is always recommended to have proper health check-ups and to be in proper physical and mental fitness. Langtang Valley Trek can be organized anytime around the year but for the best experience of trekking and exploring, the months of Spring and Autumn and highly preferred.
