I used Nepal Mountain Trekkers for my solo March 2025 visit to Nepal. Suman, the Operations manager in Katmandhu, corresponded with me before I arrived to collaboratively design an itinerary that was exactly what I wanted-- site seeing in Katmandhu, transportation to Pokhara and siteseeing there, a trek that would allow me to see the snow capped mountains in the distance but that focused on culture and wild spaces rather than high altitude (Sikles trek), and Chitwan National Park yo see wildlife. From beginning to end this trip was perfectly executed-- airport pickups and drop offs, arranging local guides and accomodation, transport in between locations and of course the hiking guide, Siva, who was with me from Pokhara to all the beautiful villages on the trek and back to Pokhara. He skillfully guided me on the trail and made sure all my needs were met in terms of clean delicious food (dal bhat every day! ) drinkable water and safe lodging. Siva is patient and kind and enjoys sharing his love of Nepal with visitors. I especially enjoyed the homestays we slept at along the way-- authentic and genuine people and places-- the real Nepal ! I didn't see ONE other trekker along the Sikles hike which was just fine with me. It's not a hike that sees many tourists because it isn't high altitude but people are missing out because it was a delightful experience. I highly recommend Nepal Mountain Trekkers for trekking and experiencing the amazing country of Nepal! I am already thinking about my next visit and will use Nepal Mountain Trekkers again.

From 2 to 15 May 2025, together with two friends, we embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to Upper Mustang, Nepal. Our guide was Sumang, and assisting with our belongings were Krishnan and Jit. The trip was nothing short of extraordinary—dramatic landscapes, ancient Tibetan-influenced culture, and the peaceful remoteness of the region created an unforgettable experience. Sumang was a knowledgeable and resourceful leader, sharing fascinating tales about Nepal and the regions we passed through. We even visited a former site used for sky burials!

We were mesmerized by the stark beauty of the high-altitude desert, the various shades of colored mountains, and unique earth formations. The colorful prayer flags fluttering against vast mountain backdrops, winding trails, monastery visits, and the warm hospitality of locals at villages and tea houses were constant reminders of the beauty and spirit of the region.

The shared laughter and time spent throughout the journey with Sumang, Krishnan, Jit, GK, and SB made the trip truly meaningful and memorable.

Upper Mustang, understand this area is developing fast and gaining attraction to more tourists visits. I was surprise and delighted that this area has internet in almost all area. It is scenic, with many hue of colour on the mountain ranges, rich farm land and friendly people. Many Tibetan culture in this area and really ancient remains - monasteries, chorsen/ stupas.
Our guide Suman, did an excellent job planning the Mustang trail plus some car to covers wider area in the Mustang region. Weather was kind and good during this 2 - 15 May. Cool to warm in the day and cold at night (2-10°C).
Nevertheless we have good reasonable accommodations, food and warm bed thru most of the trip.
I would like to thanks Suman for his excellent planning, making our hiking a lot more easier, looking out for our safety and sharing the places histories / culture.

One of the most memorable trip I’ve ever tried til now.
The view is magnificent, multi-season experience in a same path.
You must prepare having enough clothes, the sherpa will help you out a lot on the journey.
You might experience snow after 4k

I traveled to Nepal for about 10 days on my own.

Leading up the trip, the communication via email was excellent and they helped create an itinerary that fit my schedule.

When I arrived, the staff was very attentive and generous. The manager on site and my trekking guide were excellent.

The hotel is located in Thamel but is tucked away off the Main Street. It is mostly quiet which is good because I go to bed early.

The included breakfast was a nice way to start the day.

If I return, I would stay here again. Thank you!

3 weeks we were traveling - and it was a wonderful experience!
Our destination was the Rolwaling trek over the difficult Tashi Lhapsa pass with the option of climbing the 6000 Parchamo.
When choosing the trekking agency, it was important for us to travel without German or Austrian “intermediaries”, but to book directly on site. And so we came across the website of Nepal Mountain Trekkers and had a very sympathetic contact with Ramesh, the boss, right from the first email inquiry. All our questions and requests for changes were warmly and patiently received and implemented.
The trip itself was perfectly organized from the airport pickup, via the central but very quiet Green Horizon Hotel, to the return flight from Lukla. Due to the many tent camps and the alpine challenges (ropes etc.) we had 5 porters, a cook (Sonam) and a guide (Ngatar).
The tour itself was indescribably beautiful, the porters incredible and Sonam and Ngatar always on hand when the porters had to be secured when crossing the pass.
Unfortunately we had to skip the summit due to complete icing (blue ice), but there was no deficit at all.
Since we were relatively fast, we had 5 days left, which we use as a couple to walk to Gokyo Ri and watch Everest & Co in the best weather. And here we were grateful for the incredible flexibility of Ramesh and his team: We said goodbye to the porters, Sonam and Ngatar, on an emotional dhal-bat evening and headed to Gokyo. We got the money we had saved in lodge and other costs from the brisk Rolwaling crossing and had wonderful two days before flying back from Lukla to Kathmandu.

We can only warmly and heartily recommend Nepal Mountain Trekkers for your next Nepal trip. This organization is actually different from the others: You feel the warmth and desire to make everything possible. The value for money is incredible and there is a company philosophy that is measured by customer satisfaction and never by pecuniary criteria.
