Thank you Ramesh for once again organising my group trek. You are extremely efficient and have a great personality, you are easy to communicate with both via email and face to face. Congratulations for having a great team especially TB Ghale who is your Operations Manager and top guide. TB is known for his easy going manner. Always happy polite and one step ahead of his clients requirements. We always feel safe when he is leading us on our mountain adventure. On the ground your staff in the office are very efficient, road vehicles well maintained and always punctual. All accommodation suggested is clean and comfortable. See you all again next season

Would highly recommend Ramesh and his team to anyone. Actually me and my friends have just passed on his details to a group of friends who are hoping to go to Nepal soon. As 3 young ladies, we felt extremely safe and comfortable with Ramesh, our tour guide Min and our driver. We were picked up from the airport with welcoming flower chains, brought to our hotel and begin our trip. Our tout guide Min was very accommodating and often gave us time to nap as we had very early starts especially after the mountain flight. Ramesh organised our whole trip from start to finish, and did an amazing job. We really got to see a lot of the culture and heritage of Nepal, but yet had our own free time in the evenings. Ramesh organised our accommodation, tours, mountain flight etc. We also were treated to a lovely lunch all together on our last day which was a very kind gesture. Our only regret is that we didnt have longer in Nepal, we really enjoyed ourselves. Would love to come back and plan a trek next time. Thank you so much Ramesh and Min

Being the wrong side of 70 the only thing left on my bucket list was to see Mount Everest. I noticed that Nepal Mountain Trekkers did a trek up to the Hotel Everest View which was just what I wanted. Well. I chose the right company. Ramesh and his team are very experienced and they are also lovely people. Right from the outset Ramesh was brilliant. He planned my trek and always promptly answered all my questions. I was going to hire a duffel bag, sleeping bag and quilt jacket but they happened to have spares so lent me those. He couldn't have done more to help. My guide Suman met me at the airport on arrival and nobody could have looked after me better during the whole experience. When plans went slightly awry ie. cancelled flights Suman was always able to come up with the best alternatives. He is a lovely man, he carried my bags all the way, and couldn't have looked after me better. I've had a wonderful challenging experience and I thank Nepal Mountain Trekkers for it.

Holidays? Only in Nepal! Everest BC + Island Peak

That was an absolutely wonderful adventure!!! The trek to Everest BC is one of the most picturesque I think! The views of the highest mountains are just breathtaking! And if you love mountains, you should try your holidays in the Himalayas! If you want something more than just a trek, maybe you should try to climb Imja Tse? That was the adventure of my life! Quite difficult, but not killing. And safe, because we were guided by professionals: guides from the Nepal Mountain Trekkers headed by Ramesh, who had organised everything really well. I must admit, that our guides were not only very nice, but also very careful and helpful. Unfortunately some of us have finished this adventure in the hospital due to acute mountain sickness and acute pneumonia, but even such an incident was not too difficult thanks to enormous help from Ramesh and our guides. They organised a helicopter transfer to the hospital in Kathmandu and Ramesh helped in all formalities. He is a very careful, responisble and trustworthy person. And a lover of mountains! I look forward to the next Himalayan expedition with the Nepal Mountain Trekkers!

Excellent Multi-Day Family Trek in Nepal Everest Region

Ramesh, the owner, was our guide 15 years ago when we were last in Nepal, so we were delighted to return when he has his own company – he did not disappoint! He helped us plan an itinerary with our three children (aged 13, 11 and 8 years) that was challenging but never too much. He set us up with a wonderful guide (Dal) and two porters, Hem (also a guide at times - experienced, patient and calm) and Arjun (young and energetic). Sometimes now, back at work in Canada on a stressful day, I try to channel Hem’s calmness. They became our extended family and we were sad to leave them all at the end.

Ramesh is kind, helpful and honest and has extensive guiding experience himself; we highly recommend him and his company. We stayed at Hotel Horizon in Thamel (Kathmandu) which was ideally located and served our purposes well with a nice courtyard for tea and breakfast.

We did the early part of the Everest trek – starting at Shivalaya near Jiri and staying in teahouses. This part is much quieter than the trek onwards from Lukla, and also with the kids we wanted to avoid high altitudes. I love those earlier parts with the green terraced hills and the people (both Nepalis and trekkers) are much friendlier as it’s not as busy. The highest we slept at was Namche Bazaar (day trips from there) although the kids were totally fine on all the passes so we likely could have gone higher. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. Just a warning though, the long drive in is not for the faint of heart (or stomach!) though, so I’d recommend using Gravol (or similar) if you get motion sickness. After trekking we flew back out of Lukla which of course is also not for the faint of heart! Make sure you allow extra time at the end as people often get stuck in Lukla for a few days due to weather.

This was our third trip to Nepal so we knew what to expect although it’s certainly gotten busier and the omnipresence of cell phones was a surprise. Our first trip many years ago we did without a guide, and although we were fine, we realized the experience is so much better with a guide so we would never do without again. We also know people that recently did the Manaslu trek and loved that, so that will likely be our next trip, which unfortunately will likely be a few years out.

Thanks so much to Ramesh for organizing our trip, to his team for taking such wonderful care of us and giving us amazing memories! Nepal is such a wonderful country and we were thrilled to be able to finally share it with our whole family. We look forward to coming back again as soon as we can! Although we have visited many countries, Nepal holds a very special place in our hearts.

Fascinating 9 day trek - Langtang Valley region north of Kathmandu, near Tibetan border

Fascinating 9 day trek - Langtang Valley region north of Kathmandu, near Tibetan border

Just completed this somewhat challenging trek as a first-time trekker at age 61! Wanted to explore the Langtang region with my husband and adult son - supported by Ramesh, the owner of the trekking company and 2 porters who became our very good friends, managed it without too many hiccups.
It does not reach areas as high as some of the better known treks but as parts of this region were decimated by the 2015 earthquake, the pathways have been rebuilt with many stone steps which are also thoroughfares for ponies and donkeys carrying building and food supplies to the higher regions so the steps get knocked around a bit making for some challenging walking. A fascinating area with culture heavily influenced by the Tibetan immigrants over several centuries.
The care and concern shown by Ramesh and his team are phenomenal, starting with the planning which begins weeks before with applications for trekking permits etc taken care of. He equips us with all the gear we might possibly need. Being February it has the potential to snow (and does).
In a 4WD vehicle to our kick-off point, Ramesh ensures we by-pass traffic jams and the town accommodation is great. Once trekking commences he patiently guides us at our own pace, and ensures the nighttime accommodation in tea-houses is comfortable and meals are good. He closely monitors the health of his charges - when I get a bad headache at the highest altitude, I don't realise till afterwards how closely he is observing me for signs of altitude sickness; were I to show any symptoms he would insist we went back down to a lower tea-house.
Ramesh and the porters are fun to be with - we have lots of laughs and lots of interesting discussions about local history and culture and they are interested to hear about Australia.
The trek is geared around our capabilities - it is flexible - can be lengthened or shortened to suit.
Ramesh has many other trekking routes - all over Nepal - varying from a few days to months. I fancy the month-long 'Rhododendron Kingdom' trek next - a mixture of teahouses and camping - camping is the real way to do trekking he tells me!
